I hate how the summer heat just saps all the energy and motivation out of me. It’s the hottest week of the year, well, hopefully. Nineties for days to come. At least it’s dropping below 70 degrees every night. That means a few of my neurons will manage to stay functional.
Seriously, why does anyone like summer?
I surmise that the temperatures affect me as if they were 10 degrees Fahrenheit warmer compared to how they affect most other people. Therefore, to me a 90 degree summer day feels like a sweltering 100 degree day and a 30 degree winter day feels like a non-freezing 40 degree day. My body traps heat.
And you inherited this from me. And maybe from your mother, who fled to Michigan,
I am facing this summer in Maryland as usual. I hide under the air conditioner.
