Simple Steam

Photo #774: Steaming HillLocation Taken: Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

There is a part of this planet that looks like this every day. It’s nothing special, really, just steam rising from the earth. Every single day, whether there’s tourists around to see it or not. If you toss in all the similar spots around the globe, well, why do we find it so unusual in the first place?!

Practically common, I’d say. After all, if you lived here, you’d be all like “Yup, the hill’s steaming again. Wonder which way the wind’s going to blow it today.” No big deal.

Makes me wonder which everyday aspects of my life would be mind-blowing to others, just like the awesomeness of this steaming crater was to me…

…The internet alone would be high up there to someone not used to it.
